Hi. Xin chào. Hola. 您好.
That was the order in which I learned how to connect with the world. Despite not knowing all of these languages fluently, I’ve always enjoyed honest conversations, warm hugs, and belly-aching laughter.
My name is Khuê Tú (KT) Nguyá»…n and I’m a Vietnamese-American 20-something trying to rediscover who she is and what she wants to create in the world. At 17, I watched Brene Brown’s TED Talk that gave me my life’s mission — increase empathy in my community. Led on the blind path of Asian parental approval, I figured that being in healthcare would help me achieve this purpose. After getting a $20k piece of printed parchment *ahem* college degree that I wont use and two numbing jobs, I’ve decided to tear down this illusion and slowly piece together a new KT. This photography blog (est. 2020) will document the small but beautiful moments of ordinary life.
Thank you for joining me on my extra-ordinary journey in chasing intimate moments, obnoxious laughter, and authentic connection.
